At 6:02 pm on 26 April, as part of the 2.6 challenge,  we are hosting a #VirtualCurryforCarers to raise money for Carers Worldwide.  Carers Worldwide is the only organisation working exclusively and strategically with unpaid family carers in the developing world; carers who lack access to an equivalent to the UK's marvellous NHS.

We will also be reporting on and hosting some 2.6 related challenges!

Please join us at this happy social event for Carers Worldwide and learn how funds are used to enable carers, service providers, policy makers and other stakeholders to recognise and respond to the needs of carers in the developing world, ensuring balance and equal value is given to the needs of the carer and the person receiving care.

Ten people donating £2.60 could buy:

· a sanitation package for one household. This package includes soap, laundry detergent, reusable sanitary items for women, and a jug and bucket for washing hands as people don’t always have access to running water.

· pay for a counsellor to spend a day with a group of carers (after any lockdowns that are in place)

£260 will mean Carers Worldwide can:

· reach 502 carers and their families with emergency relief

· provide nutritious food to disabled children at one of Carer's Worldwide's community caring centres for a year once the pandemic is over
