Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running as part of a time of colleagues from North Yorkshire County Council, including people who use our services.

I'm a new-ish runner and it will be a big personal achievement if I can complete the Great North Run: something I never even imagined I might do! 

I am fundraising on behalf of 4Louis, for everyone, like us, who has lost a baby. Every day I imagine what life would have been like if s/he had been born and had lived: all those futures that have never been. 

4Louis does amazing work to support parents and to raise awareness. We need to break the taboo around the loss of a baby. So many of us experience this sadness and yet it is so rarely talked about.

Running in Newcastle is something special. A city I love and that always gives us a sense of coming home. The Great North Run is iconic and I want to say I've done it, in its 40th year, just ahead of me reaching my 50th year!
