Story

My brother-in-law never had the chance to be Best Man at my wedding.  He never saw his sister walk down the aisle and he will never meet his two rambunctious nephews.  It breaks my heart to see the gaping hole that his passing left in his family.

Sadly, cardiomyopathy is not some rare disease that Richard was struck with.  It is one of the biggest causes of sudden death in children and young people in the UK.  It is scary how common cardiomyopathy is.  Often, the first sign that a family is affected by the disease is when there is a sudden, unexpected, death.

The CMA receives no government funding.  They rely on the generosity of supporters, gifts in Wills and fundraising to raise the £480,000 a year it costs to provide their services for families affected by cardiomyopathy.
