Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

Raising money for Sense. The charity that supports the
deafblind and those who have sensory impairments.

The majority of us take our sight and hearing for granted.

We can communicate easily, have access to information and mobility doesn’t cause too many problems. But for those who are deafblind, often since birth, every day is a challenge.

We at the Road Haulage Association represent the employers of over 100,000 truck drivers. For them, good eyesight and good hearing is critical. Without these vital senses, these trucks won’t move and that will have a huge impact on everyone. That’s why I’m running for Sense.

They do a fantastic job offering services specific to each individual, enabling them to be as independent as possible. These include direct services from breaks and flexible packages of support through to registered care and supported living.

Sense is a non-profit making organisation; their amazing work is because of the generosity of their supporters. Please donate as much as you can so that sense can continue to change the lives of thousands of adults and youngsters.
