We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Some of you may already know that in May I lost my Grampa to stomach cancer, more recently Richard also had to go through a similar trauma losing his Great Uncle to pancreatic cancer. Before this, fortunately, neither of us had ever really had to deal with the loss of someone close. Now a month or two on we're both still struggling and feel that raising money in aid of Cancer Research could help with our grief as well as help the millions suffering from the disease.

In August we will be travelling to Borneo and on this trip we will be doing many exciting things like visiting the orangutans from the television (jealous?). But, more seriously, we will be climbing Mt Kinabalu, a 4095m high mountain, in an extremely hot and humid climate. So what we are asking is that you sponsor us to climb this mountain by giving whatever you can to Cancer Research which hopefully will help save many lives.

Also just so that you know ... donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with them – they’ll never sell them on or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Cancer Research and they also make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible.

Thank you and wish us luck - we're going to need it!
