Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've been involved in the sport of ice hockey for many years. First as a fan, then working with the governing body (Ice Hockey UK,) and since 2010 I've been a sports photographer specialising in ice hockey. I've worked at all levels, from Elite League, English Premier, National League, and University/Recreational.
Recently a challenge was made, to get from behind the camera, and give it a go ! So challenge accepted and on Wednesday 16 March 2016, I will be pulling on the pads to attempt to play in net for the Nottingham Outlaws during a training session. Not a great skater.... this will be quite a challenge !
A friend at the club has an inspirational sister, who is facing a major operation for a brain tumour. Despite all the personal challenges, she is raising money herself for the Little Princess Trust, and before her operation, is having her hair shaved (with her mum) for real hair wigs to be made for children.
With such short hair, its not something I can do, but I can raise some much needed money for this excellent charity through this challenge. For children facing significant surgery or treatments, hair loss can be devastating and can significantly impact on their emotional wellbeing and mental health. Lets face it, every little girl deserves to be a princess and smile especially through such difficult times.
At £350 per wig, the more we can raise, the more little girls we can help feel like princesses. Please support my fundraising.
Thank you
