In memory of Steven, we are raising funds for Mental Health Matters Wales, which works with people who have a mental health related issue, other voluntary organisations and statutory services to promote mental well-being. They aim to ensure there is a comprehensive range of mental health services throughout Wales.

Wales is special to us as it was special to Steven. Despite being a Reading, Berkshire man he lived and worked Monday-Friday in Bridgend and loved his work colleagues and the community in Bridgend.

Steven was a trained Mental Health First Aider at his place of work and a dedicated and loving support to friends as well as colleagues through challenging times. Steven had himself experienced tough challenges in life; he understood personally the impact on mental health and cared deeply about the wellbeing of others. We feel it’s fitting and meaningful then, that proceeds from his many belongings and collections will benefit those in need of support and advice in challenging circumstances, in the hope that early intervention may prevent the development of serious difficulties caused by mental ill health.
