Footsteps for Africa is a UK based charity that strives to enable children in Kenya to reach their potential as individuals and in the community by helping them to become healthy, educated, self-sustaining and contributing members of their communities

Story

This weekend we are doing our first triathlon! (Moment of madness somehow got our names on the list)

After the swim, we have a 20km cycle(scared)and then 5km run.  Should be fine apart from the hilly part of the park and the fact the weather man has decided its finally time for summer to start!

Why would we do this you ask?? We are raising money for a charity called Footsteps in Kenya which Roo is going out to visit in the summer.  They help to enable children in Kenya to reach their potential as individuals and in the community by helping them to become healthy, educated, self-sustaining and contributing members of their communities. Its founded by volunteers so every penny actually reaches its destination. The money is used to provide the basics of life to the communities such as food and education. As well as supplying food, it also gives the people in the communities the correct materials and equipment to grow basic foods so that they will eventually become self-sustaining.

All donations will really help them and also help us numb the pain which we will be feeling around 11am on sunday morning...

Thank you!!

Katie & Roo

Footsteps is a Charity that I came across as through a parent at my school :Teddies , This was Rupert Taylor.

As a result of our meeting,In August I am now going to Kenya for around 10 days to visit the school and communities that Footsteps gives aid too. As a charity founded by volunteers there is no profit in it so every penny actually reaches its destination. The money is used to provide the basics of life to the communities such as food and education. However it does not only supply food, but gives the people of Kenya the correct materials and equipment to grow basic foods so that they will eventually become self-sustaining.

Please support me so I can help those in Kenya come the summer. Thank you again, everything helps.
