A little known fact about Dad was his concern about slavery. He researched the life of Peggy Bouverie who was a slave who very likely took the name of her master... he also carried out research into Elizabeth Bouverie who was part of the Teston Sect (connected to Thomas Clarkson and the Clapham Sect). And of course he was married to Loulie Buxton who was a direct descendant of Thomas Fowell Buxton who passed the bill to outlaw slavery throughout the British Empire in 1833.

Given the Black Lives Matter movement, we feel that a donation to this charity would therefore be appropriate at this time.
