Clare took a career break from the GLD to live in the US. Rather than spending all her time celeb spotting, sunbathing and eating burgers, as many of us might be tempted to do, she volunteered for the charity Reprieve, working to support death row prisoners. Clare was passionate about fairness and the rule of law wasn’t just a dusty academic concept to her. We want to remember the amazing work she did for Reprieve through support for this charity.
