We help young people access the arts to ensure a diverse & inclusive arts sector

Story

In addition to being a much loved sister, daughter, partner and friend, Gemma was a wonderful performer.  Anyone who had the privilege of seeing her on stage will know the extent of her dazzling talent and the breadth of her skill.

Gemma also believed passionately in the power of the performing arts to shape the lives of young people for the better, and so in lieu of flowers we are asking anyone who would like to contribute to donate to the National Youth Arts Trust and their invaluable work.

"I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." - Oscar Wilde

We provide bursaries for music lessons, dance classes and drama school (recall) audition and tuition fees to those who cannot afford to fund themselves and we set up and run youth theatre projects in areas where there is little or no such provision.
