Story

Alan passed away peacefully at home with his girls by his side, at the age of 59. For those who don't know, Alan was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which metastasised to his brain. He had no symptoms until he had a unexplained seizure in March and was admitted to hospital. He had radical radiotherapy which seemed to be effective, however the cancer spread rapidly to his bones within his last two months. Throughout this, Alan remained brave, resilient, and positive without being unrealistic. In character of him, he was always more concerned for us and how we were feeling.

He wanted to be at home for his last few week's with us and his 'pooches', and he was, thanks to Strathcarron's specialist services. Alan did not lose a fight against cancer because sadly cancer is not selective.

He will be missed hugely by us all. This in honour of such a wonderfully kind and caring gentleman, our amazing Alan.
