Story
This page has been set up to remember Howard David Johathan Upton (4/10/1955 - 16/5/2023). Much loved by his family and friends.
As a tribute to Howard, all proceeds raised via this page will go directly to Dementia & Brain-Ageing research at the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN).
At SITraN, internationally recognised dementia researchers and clinicians work together to understand this progressive and terminal disease like never before. They're focussing on techniques to detect dementia earlier. They're working with engineers to develop devices that can benefit people with dementia, particularly in their own homes. And they're working to improve treatments to give patients the best possible care. You can read more about SITraN's work on dementia here: https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/dementia/research
Research into dementia was a cause close to Howard's heart. Since his diagnosis, he was involved in a number of studies to better understand the disease. Working closely with scientists from several universities, including SITraN.
Please help to continue Howard's legacy by furthering Dementia and Brain-Aging research with a donation to SITraN.
Thank you for visiting Howard's page. We are incredibly grateful for your support at this sad time.
