“Every act of kindness is charity.” Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W)
Volunteering allows you to connect to those around you and for this I have recently joined a charity dedicated to the visually impaired community. Helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives of people.
Kirklees Visual Impairment Network are a user led organisation that hold sessions throughout Kirklees for people with visual impairments. The aim is to enhance the lives of visually impaired people through promoting the benefits of peer support and the use of technology to aid independence (for example setting up Alexa for help around the home).
How we help:
If you are feeling lonely, we can connect you with others who may be feeling lonely too.
If you’d like to carry on reading your favourite books, we can explain the options available for audio or reading books.
If you just want to know what support is available for people with sight loss, get in touch and we can help you with what YOU need.
However big or small your donation, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your support and generosity.
