Story
David, Sheila, Kirsty and Alistair would like to thank you for taking the time to visit this page in memory of Fiona, their beloved daughter and sister. Fiona passed away on 8th February 2010 aged just 38.
Fiona developed type 1 diabetes at 4 years old. This page has been set up to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), whose mission is to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications. The JDRF is the world's leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research. Any donations made to this site will help support an artificial pancreas research project at the University of Cambridge in memory of Fiona.
A sincere thank you to all who attended Fiona's memorial service on 8th May 2010, and so generously contributed to the JDRF at this time.
We would like to acknowledge the generosity of Fiona's godfather Bev Jackson, and the executors of his estate, whose legacy to Fiona resulted in a £10,000 donation to the JDRF, helping us support this specific project in her memory.
Also many thanks indeed to those who came to and helped with our JDRF coffee morning held in Bridge of Allan on 13th November 2010, at which we raised £1022 for the JDRF. A further coffee morning was held on Saturday 12th November 2011 and this raised £1130.
We really appreciate your continued support for the JDRF.
The Reith Family.
