Story
''I came to the UK to seek safety, but instead I was forced into more exploitation... It feels to me as a woman that life is one big cycle of abuse. I would like to government to respect us, let us be safe and treat us with dignity as human beings. Don't oppress me and take away my voice because I am a woman and because of my race. We are all the same. Listen to us, hear our voices!'' - Lo Lo.
Three quarters of refugee women have gone hungry during the COVID-19 pandemic. More than a fifth were homeless. We are appealing urgently for your help to support women in the refugee and asylum seeker communities, who have been disproportionately affected by lockdown and the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of the #SistersNotStrangers coalition, Refugee Women Connect is working to end destitution among asylum seeking women in the UK. Please consider donating what you can to help the women in our communities who desperately need our support.
