We provide educational and pastoral support to improve lives of vulnerable children

Story

Reed's School has been supporting our amazing NHS staff by producing PPE visors in our FutureTech facility using customised designs, our laser cutters and volunteers for assembly.

Led by DT teachers Paul Millington and Keith Ditchburn and assisted by volunteers from Reed's onsite staff families over 2,500 visors have been produced, with requests for another 2,500 already received.

Visors have been distributed to hospitals and care facilities across the South East including Basingstoke Hospital, Summers Care homes, Royal Surrey County Hospital and Princess Alice Hospice among others.

Each visors costs approximately £1.80 in materials to produce with all production and distribution time and costs being donated by the Reed's Community.

The need for visors continues to grow and requests keep coming in from NHS hospitals and care homes. Any donations towards the cost of materials would be greatly appreciated and will help us in aiding to protect more of our incredibly NHS staff and care workers in this time of crisis.
