Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our donation page set up in memory of Our lovely Becki.
Our Lovely Becki lost her struggle with breast cancer age 35 years old in November 2012 after 7 long years of operations, chemo and radiotherapy. Through all of the ups and downs of the 7 years, she still managed to be a wonderful mother to her two lovely children and all round amazing wife, daughter, sister, friend and colleague….an amazing women. She managed to go to work for Social Services for as long as she could even at her worst points and against the advice of most, saying ‘there is always someone worse off than me’. She never complained or moaned about her situation and always kept a smile on her face, even if her heart was not smiling.
We were over the moon to have raised just over £4,000 from donations at Becki’s funeral (as at Dec 2012). This is amazing and a tribute to just how loved and missed she is and will be forever.
We have decided to leave this page open, so donations can be made in Becki’s memory at any time. We have specified that all donations should be split between further research into breast cancer at Clatterbridge and also Sulby Ward, the ward which Becki received so much loving care before she passed away.
