So, for some reasons I thought I'd run the London Marathon this year. This decision was taken without really thinking about what running 26 miles might be like and also, despite the fact I don't really like running (gasp) and have the absolute opposite of a 'runners' phisique.
With this in mind, I hope you all admire my persistence and when I cross that line, I will be the living embodiment of that old saying 'you can do anything if you put your mind to it'.
So if that is not enough of a reason to sponsor me, then I am hoping the fact I am running for an amazing charity will convince you. Action Aid is a small organisation with a big aspiration to tackle world poverty. They work towards the hope that, one day, no one will go to sleep hungry.
Donated online, your money will go straight towards helping those people affected by humanitarian disasters such as the horrendous earthquake in Haiti, the drought in Eastern Africa and distributing aid in conflict areas such as Pakistan and Gaza.
Outside of emergency aid, Action Aid works to support children orphaned by HIV & AIDS, campaigns for women's rights and provides education in developing countries as well as distributing food in countries affected by famine.
Please do dig deep, this amazing charity and your donations will keep me going when I'm on that 25th mile (gulp!)
Thanks so, so much for your generosity
