Every year thousands of undocumented, DACA, TPS and DED students graduate from Massachusetts high schools with little or no financial aid resources to enroll into higher education institutions. Due to this unfair systematic obstacle, many of these graduates are never able to achieve their true academic and professional goals. MIRA has partnered with the Unafraid Educators; a group of committed teachers across Boston who believe in access to higher education regardless of immigration status to create the Unafraid Scholarship. MIRA believes that education is liberation, and every dollar raised to the Unafraid Scholarship will directly help students with tuition costs, transportation, housing, books, and other essentials that will help them thrive in their new academic endeavors.
