Alongside a team of work colleagues, I will be fulfilling a childhood ambition of swimming the English Channel. The Relay Channel Swim covers 22 miles between Dover and France (in water of around 15-18 degrees) and takes on average around 14 hours to complete.

Having competed when I was younger, getting back into the pool to train reminded me of why I was so committed to swimming from a young age. After joining the team a couple of months late, my training only started this January but I'm determined to be in good shape before our outdoor training starts in May.

Swimming to raise money for such a great cause makes my journey so much more worth while!
