Story
Maggie lit up any room and was a real joy to be around. As a family we feel so fortunate that she was a massive part of all of our lives. Maggie believed in equal rights for all children and felt a big sense of injustice in the world. She was incredibly loving and made it her work to support and learn from other cultures. This was reflected in her career as an early years teacher where she made the world a better place through her practice in disadvantaged schools. Maggie made a point to make each parent and child feel welcome into the school community with each culture celebrated in the safe and happy environment that she created. The beautiful words in the cards we have received as a family have been a real tribute to the impact Maggie has had on so many people's lives. Although we are very sad that Maggie is no longer with us, we smile knowing how lucky we are to know we are full of the love that we shared. Maggie Blakey has doubtlessly changed many lives and by donating to war child you can help change the lives of disadvantaged children of the future.
