I started working at Trinity at the beginning of September as their Fundraising and Communications Assistant. Please keep me employed.

But seriously, Trinity is the largest provider of supported accommodation in the London Borough of Hillingdon, and SHOC (Slough Homeless Our Concern), our day centre in Slough, is the only centre within a 20-mile radius that offers the homeless both crisis care and long-term help towards independence.

The Big SleepOut helps raise money for all those activities throughout the year - hundreds of people are sleeping rough for one night to help end homelessness in these communities... And I'll be one of them. I can't exactly ask people to do this and not practice what I preach, right?

Personally, I've been close to homelessness many times myself, which is partly why working at Trinity appealed to me so much. The average age someone dies on the streets is 47, and there are over 300,000 homeless people in the UK alone. Ending homelessness seems like a big task, but we've got to start somewhere.

I know, I know, everyone has fundraising fatigue these days, but this is important. Please sponsor me, help the hundreds of people that access our services throughout the year, and, yes, continue to keep me employed for the foreseeable future. 😁
