From 04 Jan 22, I am running 5 Kilometres a day for 30 days till my birthday on 02 Feb 22, raising funds for Oyam Memorial Hall Project (OMHP) through The Pahar Trust Nepal in loving memory of my mother, late Prem Maya Limbu. Total accumulated money will be handed over to The Pahar Trust who is leading the build and delivering this particular project, including many more across the country.

The main aim of this project is to build a memorial hall, an extension to an existing Shree Gupteshwor school in order to provide essential hostel accommodation and educational facilities for the school children in the remote rural village community of Oyam, which lies at the far eastern part of Nepal. This warden-supervised hostel will safely accommodate those children living furthest from the school who usually travel up to 5 hours to and from the school, regardless of the bad weather conditions and potential risks to their safety, especially during winter months. It will also provide a computer suite, a public library and a first aid room which will greatly benefit the children and the wider community.

I would be truly grateful if you could support by donating, which in turn is making a difference to the lives of underprivileged children in Oyam village, Nepal.
