At our 20 week scan, we was filled with excitement to see our baby on the screen and find out what gender we was having. Our darling son Ronnie Frederick Paintin was diagnosed with a rare heart condition call Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Sadly, our angel baby was born sleeping on 24th June 2021. 

Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome is a rare congenital heart defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. As the baby develops during pregnancy, the left side of the heart does not form correctly. This effects 1 in 5000 children in the country.

Little Hearts Matter is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting and empowering anyone affected by the diagnosis of a single ventricle heart condition – or half a working heart.

We want to raise as much money and awareness as possible to try help make a difference. Pregnancy and baby loss, miscarriages, stillborn and baby health defects are such a taboo subject. We want to break that stigma. We should all be able to talk about the babies that are now angels and say their name proudly.
