Story

Join us to run across the Sahara, no desert training needed! Our aim is to collectively cover the length of the Sahara desert by covering 4,800 km during the month of August.

From the Atlantic ocean to the red sea and touching at least ten African countries, our virtual destination is one of the hottest, driest places on earth. Follow us on social media as we journey across it together and make a difference to those who come from hostile environments of their own.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Add a £15 (minimum) entry donation on our Just Giving page.
  • Register your entry on our form: https://forms.gle/Y6bBo3adiSAW6yM16
  • Run (walk /cycle/otherwise self-propel) during the month of August and log your distances. Email us at the end to tell us your total: rainbow.home.runners@gmail.com
  • Registered entrants will receive a resin medal, hand cast, limited edition commemorating the event (limited to the first 100 entrants)

WHY SUPPORT US?

Rainbow Home supports Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Transgender people who are seeking asylum in the UK because they are at risk of harm, persecution, imprisonment or death in their home country.

Last year your support made a huge difference and allowed us to increase the time we were able to dedicate to those in need. With Covid not yet over and with new, difficult regulations for those seeking asylum on the horizon, we’d love to have your help once again.
