Story
In July I'll be walking the entirety of the Thames Path. That's 184 miles spread over 15 consecutive days (averaging approx 12 miles per day). I'll be raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young in the process because this charity means a lot to me and my family. For those that don't know, in 2016 my cousin Claire passed away very suddenly whilst running, being young, fit and healthy, and it was a pretty awful time for the family. Cardiac Risk in the Young offers support, screening and research to help prevent this from happening to more people.
If anyone would like to join me for a leg, (or would just like to meet at the pub at the end of a leg!), then that will be very much welcomed! And of course any donations will be much appreciated.
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
