Thanks for taking the time to visit the Running for Ruth JustGiving page. The team is made up of fabulous people who are willing to put themselves through a gruelling 8.5mile run to raise money for charity.
My mum lost her fight with Brain Cancer in 2008, her first brain tumour was discovered when she was 29, and unfortunately at the age of 53 the fight became too much. She was lucky enough to see all of her children grow up, but many brain tumour suffers don’t even get past childhood, therefore one of the charities we have chosen to support is The Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC).
Brain Tumours are the leading cause of cancer related death in children and CBTRC aim is to improve understanding the cause of childhood brain tumours through active research. They are making innovative and exciting scientific discoveries about how to treat the developing brain, so that more children and young people are cured and fewer are left disabled.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now - we are really grateful for any support we get.
THANK YOU X
