Story

Breast cancer has impacted our lives over the past few years but this year more than ever charities need our help, however we can’t hold big gatherings or do crazy physical activities as normal. So we are going fully out of our comfort zones and for those we care about, to mark 3 years since Nic’s diagnosis, to encourage more people to check their breasts and to thank and support those who make such a difference to everyone impacted ..... we will be dying our hair bright Pink on the 31st Oct 😬

NOTE// We are aware that it will take months for our hair to go back to normal, that it will need fully bleaching before it can go pink and very possibly not suit us at all, so please donate generously and make it worth our while  for such a brilliant cause 🙏🏻🙏🏻 🥰

Nic’s story

Three years ago I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer.  I can honestly say it was the worst day of my life – I was young, fit and healthy with a beautiful little girl – how could I have cancer?  Over the next year I had months of chemo followed by a mastectomy and finally got the good news that I was cancer free.  What I didn’t realise is that the end of treatment isn’t the end of your cancer journey – you have to start to put your life back together and live with the constant fear of the cancer returning.

There are lots of breast cancer charities that do amazing work to help you through the whole of your journey from diagnosis through treatment and moving on with your life after treatment ends.  This year has been tough on these charities and fundraising activities are almost impossible with Covid restrictions. They gave me so much help and support that I want to give something back.
