RTUK 2021

We weren't going to let a mere global pandemic stop us from continuing to raise funds for SpecialEffect, so in 2021 we’re repeating our big annual RTUK event online!

Time 12:00-midnight (and beyond) UK Time (BST = GMT+1)

‪As in previous years, we are raising funds for SpecialEffect (https://www.specialeffect.org.uk/)

(IMPORTANT: This is our second online event and we learnt a lot last year, and whilst all our volunteers are working hard to ensure that it all works as seamlessly as possible, there may yet be unforeseeable troubles. In the event that things go completely wrong (e.g. Discord servers going down etc) we apologise but we will not be able to offer to refund any donations made through this page. Please be aware that the relatively small donation of £5 will make a huge difference to such an amazingly good cause.

So how do you register? After making your donation, you should receive a donation receipt through your email. You will need to join the RTUK Discord server (link above), go to the [rtuk-2021-registration] channel and follow the instructions in the pinned message. One of our community admin group will then grant you the relevant channel access (please allow 24 hours). 

If you need multiple tickets, donate in a multiple of £5 (e.g. £15 will get you access for 3 people). Everyone will of course need to be a member on the server, and you should include their Discord IDs when
you upload the donation receipt. They will then be given the necessary event role. 

So what can you expect at the event?...

‪Well we’re planning the usual mix of social and mayhem;

‪Just chill out and text chat with friends in our music rooms.

Fancy a lunchtime Curry? Topher will be offering a cookalong stream for lunch (ingredients listed in Discord)**

‪Sign up to a one shot DnD session** 

Maybe learn a new ‪board or card game in an online platform 

(depending on the game a free account will be required for http://boardgamearena.com or http://tabletopia.com/ or a copy of tabletop simulator (available on Steam))**

Build a model with friends (BYO Lego/Gundam/Warhammer etc)**

Gaming (XBONE, PS4, Switch, PC) run by our fantastic Smoulder Council (RTUK Gaming Mods)**

After party with special guests DJ Chonk and Dr Fonk, who want your input on the playlist (miss a gig due to COVID cancellations - add your artist and favourite tracks to the playlist)**

Places can be extremely limited so will be offered on a first come first served basis. We will run a waiting list, so anyone not turning up to their game in good time will have their slot reallocated to someone else!).
