Story
As part of the RPS commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility one of our key themes is to support and raise funds for action against homelessness.
Providence Row have been supporting the homeless and vulnerable in London for over 160 years. They work with over 1800 people a year, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice, recovery and training activities. Providence Row are working towards a vision where everyone has a safe home and a community in which to belong. In England, we are still in the midst of a housing emergency. As the pandemic gives way to a looming economic recession, more and more people will need crisis support services to help them live a life away from the streets.
As RPS staff we can play a vital part against homelessness. The Virtual Sleep Out is one night away from the comfort of your bed raising funds at the same time. This can be outside or in your own home. Whilst we cannot replicate what sleeping rough feels like we can at least try and understand the challenges faced by those sleeping rough.
Sophia and Cath are taking part in the Virtual Sleep Out 2020 to show solidarity with people who are faced with homelessness today. We will be raising funds and awareness and taking action to end homelessness for good, please donate generously.
