Ouch...! Well done to those who sponsored and those who gave up their hair for charity - remember "In pursuit of beauty there is pain!"
Well done to Renata for organising the coffee morning which raised nearly £50 for Macmillan.
Well done to David for the Great North Run and Renata and Lindsay for the first Car Boot sale.
Cycle to work week has finished and raised over £150 for Macmillan...more cash still coming in.
Baaaaa....the sheep was called Gordon Ramsey ! Thanks to everyone who helped raise £52 for our charity this year.
Good luck to David for his first 1/2 marathon this weekend.
Steve White has completed a 100km ride at an average 16.5 miles per hour and raised £150 for Macmillan. Well done Steve and thanks for the photo to prove you did it ;)
Name the sheep has now completely sold out! The name is to be revealed Thursday 8th September.
Over 30 of the production staff have sponsored Conels chest waxing - many offering to pull the strips off themselves for an extra fiver !
Steve White - Steve will be doing a 100 kilometer bike ride around the Cheshire Country side on Suday 4th September 2011.
Two new employees added to the bike to work week commencing September 12th. Are there any other takers?
THE STORY....
The team at RPC Tedeco - Gizeh Kenfig have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as their charity partner for 2011. The Kenfig site has a very positive employee forum team and they agreed unanimously that Macmillan would be our charity partner for 2011. Macmillan has done so much good work to help and support people affected by cancer in the UK and the Kenfig team are extremel proud to have them as our charity partner for the year ahead'.
During the next 12 months there will be a series of 'challenges' undertaken by many of the RPC team and your support for any of these events would be very much valued and appreciated. Events for 2011 will include:
David Lowe is leading by example running two gruelling events within a week commencing with the Bristol half marathon – 11 September 2011 followed by the Great North Run – 18 September 2011
Our Sales Manager team (Adrian Pratt and Bob Oldcorne ) have agreed to have their legs waxed and Bob will shave off his beard (of 40 years!!!!).
Event date 6th October 2011 which will include leg waxing, chest waxing, beard shaving and head shaving.
The nurses at our Occupational Health provider (Insight) have agreed to attend site on the 6th October for the waxing, beard shaving and head shaving and also to conduct a ‘Blood pressure monitoring’ morning.
Renata Phillips will organise ‘The Biggest Coffee Morning’ – 30 September 2011
Renata Phillips and Lindsay Nichols will hold a car boot sale. Further details will follow and date to be agreed.
Parachute jumping - Steve Robinson, date to be confirmed.
