Story

Dear Donors

On Sunday 23rd May 2010 and, by popular demand, Lady Gaga completed the Skipton Race for Life. She also introduced the concept of a PW by taking 5 minutes longer than last year (well it was 27 degrees)...

But was it really Lady Gaga? Not an easy costume to pull off  this one (my 15 year old neighbour thought I was Madonna, ho hum) and I wondered if I might be mistaken for the blonde one from Abba. Interestingly, on the way round the course, I was also asked if I was Amy Winehouse last year!

The main thing is that, together, we raised over £2000 - double the amount I originally set out to raise (plus nearly £500 as Gift Aid supplement). For this I would like to say a huge thank you to you all. I was particularly touched by the fact that many of the donations came from people I hadn't seen for ages or had never even met before.

Finally, a special thank you to Cecile, Barry, Tommaso, Elena and Frank, who did all the publicity (or was it badgering?) and thereby helped to make the whole event such a great success.

With lots of love

Professor Gaga xxx
