Story
I Race for the Life of my Mum!
Hi everyone! My name is Hayley, I'm 22 years old and I will complete my very first Race For Life on 14th July 2013!
My story is sadly a short one...
In April 2009, my family was hit with the news that my beautiful Mum had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I was 18, and in my final year of 6th form. Her health deteriorated rapidly, and in November 2009, exactly three weeks after she turned 55, she passed away peacefully.
No words can do justice to the kind of woman she was. She was strong, courageous and unfailingly kind. She was everything to us, a wife, a mother, a sister...and cancer took her far too soon!
Now 4 years on, I will take my place in the Race For Life for her.
I will also be wearing two special wristbands as a mark of respect for two young Speedway Riders, Emil Sayfutdinov and Tai Woffinden, who both lost their fathers at far too young an age.
Please help me raise money for Cancer Research UK by sponsoring my Race For Life... Help us stop cancer in it's tracks!
Thank you all!
