We deliver the highest standards of care to people of all faiths and none.

Story

Community Sponsorship is a UK government programme which lets a group of local people - whether a faith group, charity, friends or a business - get together and plan to bring a refugee family to their village, town or city.

The project offers hope to a refugee family currently stuck in the Middle East or North Africa and who have no other hope of coming to the UK. Before we can receive the family, we need to show the Home Office that we have raised at least £9,000 to cover our costs. However, from other groups who've already done this, we know we need to raise an additional £3,000 to cover all likely costs. So our total is £12,000.

We are collecting through Catholic Care because that way, we can claim Gift Aid.

Our project is a sub-group of Ripon City of Sanctuary, with Catholic Care as our lead sponsor. Nicola David is the chair of Ripon City of Sanctuary.

The total on this page only shows donations via JustGiving, and not our total to date. People have also given offline.

Somewhere out there, right now, is the family we will bring to Ripon!
