Neonatal Incubator Appeal

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page for our neonatal incubator appeal.
Every year, between 150 and 200 babies are treated in our hospital who require specialist cardiac intervention, or surgery, immediately after birth. These babies are often premature, and are very fragile.
The incubator is a specialist bed which allows our medical teams to create a special environment for the baby, to help control their temperature and maintain a certain level of haemodynamic stability whilst they are in our paediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
This new model of incubator is much more advanced than our current equipment, and allows our nurses and doctors much better access to the baby in an emergency.
As with all state of the art equipment, the new incubators are expensive - costing between £25,000 and £30,000. Any contributions that you can make to the appeal will make a real difference to the lives of these critically ill babies and their families.
We're well on the way to reaching our initial target, which will hopefully be enough to buy two incubators. But we'd like to beat that total and buy another unit, meaning that your donation will have made an even greater difference.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to us and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
