Story
A year ago today we kissed Poppy goodbye outside the operating theatre (only 4 days old) for the first of her life saving heart surgeries. I don’t think we will ever find the words to thank her saviour Guido Michielon and the Royal Brompton team for saving and giving Poppy a life. With my eyes filled with tears (of joy), I’m delighted to say she is thriving!
We are constantly in awe of everything they have done and continue to do. Thank you doesn’t begin to cover the emotion, love and appreciation that we feel on a daily basis for our Brompton family.
With everything they have done for us and so many others, it’s more important than ever that we do something for them. Our Brompton family are in a CRISIS. They are working 24/7 directly with the front line teams, caring for some of the very sickest Covid-19 patients in the UK. It breaks our hearts to see them going above and beyond to care and support these poor suffering, isolated, patients and that money is running out.
To celebrate POPPY’S HEART DAY we would love to raise some serious cash for our Brompton family in honour of what they have done for us. Anything you can spare would mean the absolute world to us. ALSO if we can raise £6k my image conscious husband Nick Wise has agreed to SHAVE HIS HEAD (for those who know him, please give generously as he really doesn’t want to do this 😂).
IN ADDITION Poppy’s godfather Jon Reece has also agreed to SHAVE HIS LONG HAIR that he has been growing for years and will also be donating the hair to a cancer hair / wig trust. What a pair of legends! Seriously do you need any more incentives to donate to this wonderful cause!?
Click donate for Poppy ❤️ and all the front line NHS Brompton family that we all love and would be nowhere without.
Thank you in advance from the bottom of ours and Poppy’s new heart. You’re amazingly kind, stay safe, we love you! xx
