What is the Plaxtol Village Virtual Pet Show?!

In aid of the Plaxtol Village Virtual Fete 2020, this is a virtual event that lets you show off your furry (or scaly) friends in a fun online pet show!

How do I enter my pet into the show?!

Entries are open until midnight Friday 10th July 2020. Entry donations are £3 and must be made on this page. Once you have donated, you will receive an email address to send us your pet's name and photo. By entering the competition, you are giving us permission to upload the photo of your pet to our facebook page. No names or other details will be published with any of the photos.

How will the winners be decided?!

Once entries have closed, voting will start! We will upload all the photos to our facebook page (tiny.cc/pvvps), and ask people to vote for the best in show. Voting will run from Sat 11th July to 6pm on Sat 18th July, and the winners will be announced on Mon 20th July. We will award first, second and third in class based on the number of likes for each photo, in strict order. Each will receive a prize, and we will contact the owners to let them know and arrange for them to collect their winnings!

What if I don't have a pet?!

We are also happy to accept photos of any wildlife from your garden, so please do not feel you can not enter, unless you have a pet!

Where will the money raised go to?

All money raised will go to the Plaxtol School Association. Sadly, school have been unable to run our school summer fete this year, which usually raises £3000. This will have a big impact on the money available to help support the school during lockdown and for the next academic year.

Some of the items we need to buy include an online reading scheme, the subscription to Tapestry (online learning portal) and replacement shade tents to maintain bubbles for children's outside learning and play.
