Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I wanted to do something interesting to raise money for Solihull Hospital and highlight the importance of improving the care that people with dementia receive, and thought this would be perfect.
I'm walking 42 miles from Worcester to Solihull. I chose 42 miles as there are 42 patients with dementia in Solihull Hospital at any one time.
I’ll be starting at 5.30am and will get to Solihull just in time for the late shift. I’ll be tired, but if it helps make a difference to patients’ lives it’ll be more than worth it!
We recently opened a brand new ward here, especially designed for patients with dementia. The money I raise will go towards purchasing equipment and improving environments so we are better able to care for people who have the condition.
We’re continually striving to provide the very best for our patients and this ward has been designed to allow the best possible care for people with dementia, a group of patients who often find the hospital environment very challenging.
Dig deep and make a difference!
Thank you
