Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

At CSSS | Container Shipping Supporting Seafarers, we are helping to raise much needed funds for the Tilbury Seafarer Centre, managed by QVSR. The centre has been closed since the outbreak of Covid-19 and seafarers have been unable to visit the centre.

However, the port chaplains and ship visitors still access the centre, so they can source essential items for seafarers such as deodorants, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes and some small treats such as small bars of chocolate, which they then deliver to seafarers on their ships.

The centre will also be preparing to reopen soon, in readiness to receive seafarers once again and provide the essential socialising space they need when spending their limited time ashore.

Please can you be as generous as possible to help support both the seafarer centre and their work helping seafarers, especially in these
unprecedented times.

Thank you all very much
