Story
I know it says Philip Lambert but most of you know me as Philip Bulcock. Same guy, read on...!
So here's me ( nearly 4 months ago now) injured, unfit, and unable to get back into a regular fitness regime since becoming a Dad 5 years ago. It's hard. Whatever you do, whatever level of fitness you are at, fitting in regular exercise can be pretty difficult - your brain will give you a million excuses. That's why after several false starts on the road to fitness recovery I decided if I was doing it for a charity, well, that might spur me on.
On August the 23rd I started out on my goal to do 125 consecutive days of exercise to correspond with the Actors' Children's Trust's 125th birthday. At the time of writing this, I am 6 days shy of completing the challenge. (As a side note - without planning it at all the last day of this odyssey, the final 125th day falls on Christmas day, when I will hand over all the funds raised to ACT). I've not missed a single day and have kept going through injury ups and downs, rubbish weather, illness, bad timing, trips abroad, work and mental unwillingness and I think I've discovered the real secret to acheiving anything. So now I know I'm not going to fail miserably it's time to start raising the money of course!! As you can see, I already have a bit but need way more and I hope you are willing to pitch in.
Nearly every day I've recorded videos of my journey along the way with insights and observations which may or may not prove helpful for others out there trying to get fit in the face of injury, lack of motivation, or simply just life getting in the way. I'll post here a youtube channel link once it is all in place and that channel will serve as a record of my progress from day 1 to day 125.
In the meantime please give as generously as you can :-) Whether it's 1p or £1 a day I'm very grateful for all donations.
