Story
Just over a year ago, our family was hit by the double tragedy of the Terminal Cancer diagnosis of my brother Andy, and my Uncle Neil.
Both Andy and Uncle Neil were cared for professionally and compassionately at the North Devon Hospice in Barnstaple. In fact, we were all cared for by the team at the Hospice in exceptional times.
We were, and always will be incredibly grateful.
Like a lot of charities during the pandemic, fundraising for the North Devon Hospice was hit hard. Over the past 18 months, lots of events have been canceled, so I decided to design my own....
I will be cycling 99 miles from Ilfracombe to Plymouth. The next day, I will turn around and start walking 99 miles back to Ilfracombe. I'll be walking a slightly different route to the bike ride, crossing through the middle of Dartmoor. "Coast to Coast and back again", or #C2Cx2 as I'm calling it.
I will start at 8.30 on Thursday 29th October at Ilfracombe harbour, and finish back at Ilfracombe in the evening of Monday 1st November.
It will be tough (especially as my training has been minimal!) but your kind donations along with memories of Andy and Uncle Neil, will power me through!
