I have been asked by Peter’s family to create this fundraising page as part of his wishes to ‘not make a fuss’ and to raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance (CCPA) as Peter has supported this small, but important charity for many years. 

Peter was our Toastmaster at our annual Ball, attended our events (large and small) to add his special sense of ceremony as Town Crier with his proclamations, wonderful sense of humour and would work so hard to make every event very special. Peter also donated funds and goods to us and was a regular visitor to our charity shop. We, like many, many others will miss him so much.

Why this charity? Well, Peter chose us really many years ago and soon became a part of our volunteer ‘family’. He loved to see families of children with cancer enjoying themselves in the worst of times and he recognised how important this was and how our fundraising events enabled us to go ‘over and above’ to help make life just that little bit easier for families experiencing trauma. Laughter was a big part of life for Peter and he knew that he could help us to create that laughter for our CCPA families.
