Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
St Wilfrids Hospice is a vital part of our local community from which so many in the area have benefited. It gives great reassurance in these difficult times, and our prayers go out to all who are nearing the end of life, the bereaved, and those who care for them. The Catenian association is a Catholic organisation which promotes brotherhood and encourages charitable works.
God Bless you all.

President 2020-2021
St Wilfrid's have given a typical testimony below:
"In those final 6 days of her life Mum received care beyond anything we could have imagined. She was treated with love and compassion by everyone she met. They gave her massages and bubble baths. They sat with her when she was scared and gave her endless cups of tea. St Wilfrid's allowed Mum to retain every ounce of dignity at a time when she could have lost it all.
And it wasn't just Mum they gave this love and care too. When the hospice saw that Mum came with the horde that is our family they moved her to a larger family room so we could visit and her husband could stay. This allowed Mum to have time with us all including her much loved grandchildren. Mum found real peace in knowing that her beloved husband was able to stay over night with her. When you don't know how much time you have left every moment feels precious.”
In addition to that we are not able to hold our usual fundraising events and activities and so we are facing a shortfall of income in the coming year. As a charity that have to generate the majority of our own income this is a challenge that we are currently facing and it is people like you who will help us to meet the need. We are supporting over 300 patients and their families in West Sussex currently – at no cost at all to those who need our services.
We are very grateful for any and all support shown to help us fund vital hospice care.
