Typhoon Rai hit the island of Bohol in the Philippines whilst we were all beginning to settle into our Christmas breaks. It has destroyed houses, livelihoods, hit power and water supplies and over 110 people have lost their lives.

The island is home to an office of the Philippine Self Help Foundation (PSHF) which helps groups and individuals with livelihood loans, education and medical needs. We helped arrange finance for the office set up over 20 years ago and the experience inspired me to set up the MicroLoan Foundation.

Money is needed to support clients to rebuild their houses and lives. We appreciate your help.
