Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
UPDATE (19 August): They did it! The boys completed their 120 miles in the 60 days. It was a huge effort but they remained super committed over the last 2 months and we are really proud of them both. Well done boys! Huge thanks to all of you that have donated, it means a lot to all of us.
We are really sad that our wonderful Grandad passed away on Saturday 13 June 2020 and because of the lockdown we had not been able to visit him recently (including celebrating his 80th birthday in May 2020) or say a final goodbye to him. Our Dad told us how well he was looked after by the Heart of Kent Hospice who showed him such care and kindness when they knew so many of his family and friends were not able to be with him. So we would really like to say a big thank you to all of the lovely doctors, nurses and carers at the Heart of Kent Hospice. We know they have been struggling to raise funds during lockdown since their shops have been closed and fundraising events have not been able to go ahead as normal.
We have decided we would like to challenge ourselves and between the two of us run the distance from Oxfordshire to the Heart of Kent Hospice, a total of 120 miles. We are not planning to run this in one go! We will start this challenge on Father's Day, Sunday 21 June 2020 and will complete the distance within 60 days. It would really encourage us if you were able to sponsor us in any way you can.
Thank you for your support.
We are going to receive some Heart of Kent Hospice running vests shortly and plan to provide some photos / updates of our progress.
Love Oliver & Sam
