Ride 24 - London 2 Paris 2014 · 6 September 2014 to 8 September 2014 ·

We operate a flying intensive care unit to fly critically ill babies and children.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Three months ago, Becky in our office was simply driving along a country road, along with her husband and two young girls. They were hit head on by an overtaking driver coming the other way and owe their lives to the great service provided by the Air Ambulance. All spent time in intensive care and all feel lucky to be alive today. Their health continues to improve as every day passes by.

Please help me to raise some money for this great cause. I have now completed the challenge and cycled to Paris in less than 24 hours on 6th September. Along with 7 others riders I managed to hang on to the 2 pace riders in the front group for the 280 mile route. With only 33 miles to go we had 4 hours to spare. We hit lots of slow traffic in and around Paris but still arrived at the Eiffel Tower in less than 23 hours. So pleased!

Please dig deep into your pockets to help me to contribute to the £140,000 this service requires each year to keep operating. It is entirely reliant on donations.

All costs of my ride have been paid so every penny raised will be going directly to the Air Ambulance service.

About the charity

The Children’s Air Ambulance is an inter-hospital transfer service flying critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. With our ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, we can minimise travel times and the risk for patients.
