Story
2016 was a big year for me & my family. I completed my first Ironman & our youngest child was diagnosed with Autism.
Having seen our son struggle with all things we take for granted, we were determined to support him to build his confidence & develop his independence. We never would have thought that the biggest impact would come in the form of four legs & a waggy tail ( or because we don't do things by halves, 8 legs & 2 tails !!) Our dogs are part of the family & have made such a difference to our everyday life.
Dogs for Good help so many people with disabilities maintain their independence & improve their overall wellbeing. They were the first charity to offer autism assistance dogs for children & more recently, wider support for parents of autistic children with family pets through their Family Dog workshops.
I'm using this year's Ironman to raise awareness & much needed funds for this amazing charity. By donating just a couple of pounds, you could make a huge difference to someone's life & help build a relationship with a dog that is priceless.
Cheers
Pete.
