Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Peter Birkett, I am doing a sponsored walk for a local charity called Penhaligons Friends, and this is a little bit about myself and my reasons for doing this walk.
I am now 16 years old but 5 ½ years ago I lost my Mum and Sister in a car accident that I survived. Although I received lots of support from friends and family, I needed extra help to overcome this tragedy. www.penhaligonsfriends.org.uk provided this help, without it my life would be a lot harder today. They are a charity that relies entirely on donations and grants. They could not exist without the generous support of individuals, groups, businesses and trusts. Their service is free of charge.
For this reason I am doing a sponsored walk with my Dad on the 13 April. I am doing it to give something back to Penhaligons Friends as they have done so much to help me, and help them help others in a similar situation.
The walk will start at Penhaligons Offices on Drump road in Redruth, we will then walk to Truro where we will spend some time raising awareness for Penhaligons Friends and hopefully getting generous members of the public to donate there change. We will then walk to Falmouth and do the same when we get there, the final leg of journey will take us back to Penhaligons Friends offices in Redruth, this walk will be just under 30 miles.
