Story
The Firenze/Florence Marathon was on the 30th November 2014. It was my sixth marathon but the first time I did it to raise money. In the past, I have run for my own sense of
satisfaction. This time, I followed the
lead of all those who manage to do that and fundraise for a cause they believe
in - and it was a wonderful experience.
There are so many worthwhile causes and organisations in need of dosh. I chose MSF - Médecins Sans Frontières /Doctors Without Borders). Independent. Neutral. Impartial. And there. Providing assistance where it is needed most. Back in April when I was in Africa, MSF seemed to be the only one understanding the seriousness and potential of Ebola, and they continue to lead the way.
As a result of the fundraising, MSF got equivalent to an extra 76 doctor days for example (most funds going to MSF UK, some to MSF Italia).
Thank you dear friends for your support.
And remember you can donate to MSF at any time www.msf.org
